A Friday ritual inspired by SouleMama. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment to pause, savour and remember.
This week has been full of moments, but I feel like it has just flown by, without me taking the time to pause and savour. So last night (already late) I sat down to post, and I sat for a while, with my thoughts whirring around as they have been lately.
I wasn’t going to do anything else that day.
But I had the feeling that days have gone by without much to show for them. Which is fine, but I needed a little focus.
So I went back to my good old pen and paper. And wrote a list for today. “Write that blog post”. “Handwash the woollen clothes”. “Go to toddler group”. But also, “Make pancakes with Kaya”. Because you need a little bit of everything.
This morning, I ticked off about half of the things I thought I would have by now, and that’s fine. I feel on track again.
With no pressure to complete things right now.
But with taking time to pause, savour and remember.
Like this lunch, that was going to be pancakes, but turned out to be porridge because we took our time (a lot of it) walking back from toddler group.
Like this moment, Kaya sharing his impromptu porridge lunch with Hasi and Eisbär.
And pancakes? This afternoon, I think.
A happy weekend to all of you..

So did bunny and bear enjoy their meal?
I should hope so!
Going slow, living in each moment, savoring all the blessings each day has to offer is a great way to live. I love how Kaya is sharing with his friends; we have a little lamb, Lovie, that is part of our family!
