Weekending

I honestly don’t know where this weekend has gone. It flew past, and not even because we were particularly busy.
It’s been cold and rainy, so we only dared one longer trip into town – and came back home almost dry. Shop orders posted, bias binding bought, croissant eaten.
We spent some time with the various members of the extended family talking on skype – we have a  time to talk to everyone; my mum on Saturday mornings with breakfast and knitting.

New dinners: this week’s menu plan with all new recipes to try, including desserts!

Choosing patterns in preparation for kcwc – Kaya immediately found a better use for them. Just as well, since I don’t yet have a fabric to use for this one.

No cutting or sewing yet in spite of best intentions, instead more dessert eating, and contemplating the fabric scraps flying about the house. Listening to the Formula 1 racing on the radio with the guys; I’m almost developing an interest. A little more sorting and tidying and de-cluttering, another charity shop bag packed – now onto the week ahead.

Happy Monday, everyone!

Weekends seem to fly by around here. I think it’s great you skype with your family!! I bet it makes it easier being apart. I talk to my sister almost every day on the phone :)

I think Skype is one of the best inventions ever created! I love that no matter how far away you are from loved ones with one click you can see their faces! I Skype with my mom weekly and it means so much to both of us.

  6. we love skype. it’s the only way we can talk to my dad in poland without it being cost prohibitve.

sounds like sewing plans are shaping up nicely!
