A Friday ritual inspired by SouleMama. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment to pause, savour and remember.

By last night I’d caught the sewing bug and stayed up way too late to sew most of Kaya’s seaside summer coat.
This morning he tried it on.
Boy, this little guy is not so little anymore! It fits just so, but if he grows anymore in the next few months..
I thought I’d added enough extra length to the sleeves and all, but maybe not quite enough.
Oh well. I blame my fuzzy brain.
Nothing to do now but finish it off and see..
Pattern: Baby-in-the-hood Jacket – upsized – from Handmade Beginnings
Outer fabric: (life buoys and seagulls) Sevenberry
Lining: recycled duvet cover
More about kcwc here, and lots of inspiration here.
A happy weekend to all of you..

Well I hope he gets to wear it for a season! Love the two fabrics
Oh dear, they do grow fast don’t they? It’s still lovely and maybe he can wear it for a little while.
Oh it’s just darling!
The best spring jacket EVER! Way to go. I’m sure it’ll make it through the season. The grow so fast, don’t they?
It is so cute. I hope he gets some good wear out of it!
