Weekending

I am glad to report I’m on the mend this weekend; thanks for the good wishes. I experienced the meaning of having the wind taken out of your sails. I was flattened. But apart from some coughing and sniffling, I have mostly been restored by many still and slow days last week.

I started packing up my workroom yesterday.
It is hard work; I know why my big de-clutter stopped on its doorstep.
Scary.
I packed one box of yarn and started going through the files. I carried out bags of rubbish and paper for recycling.
Then I got distracted by some Stitch & Purl labels I had been looking for, and spent the rest of the evening sewing labels on little hats and cardis. It was very satisfying, but seriously delayed my bedtime.

My bedtime then got further delayed by me standing in the cold kitchen eating ice cream. I believe it did wonders for my cold, sometimes you just need to defy common sense.

With my husband off to work today, Kaya and I settled down to scooting up and down the garden (him) and knitting (me), finishing a pair of booties from the leftovers of the woolly pants.

This afternoon called for some baking, and, ignoring the mess, making use of the weather which has been dry for two whole days! Yay!

So glad you are feeling better. A mess ignored is at times the best kind. Love your tags – where did you get them?
