About remembering to swim with the little boy and the tiger

Today, I almost forgot.

There was so much to do, so much to think about. Parcels to be sent, busses to be caught, there was laundry and bills and worries and repairmen.

Good that I have my little guy to remind me.

To jump off the the dining room doorway the diving board into the corridor the sea every once in a while, and swim with him and his little white tiger.
To make banana milkshake, and while reinforcing the no-ice-cream-in-winter rule (for children with a bit of a cough, that is), I let him pick a substitute ingredient. Strawberry yoghurt? It could have been a lot worse.
To call him a silly sausage a lot, because that always makes him giggle.

And then, while snapping pictures of his little brother with his imaginary camera, and me trying to get the baby to smile for the invisible photo, Kaya says:
“Just tell him ‘Hello, beautiful‘.”

He knows exactly how to get us all to smile.

Love this! Your boys are so precious. If only I could recapture the imagination of a small child.
