Yarn Along

IMG_1441My shawl for the Downton Abbey knit-along is finished, and I am so very happy with it. It has just finished blocking; I will share pictures just as soon as I can get someone to take proper ones!

I have oh so many lists floating around of things I want to make next, but I am trying to be disciplined and finish off at least one of those unfinished projects first. Since Kaya is growing and his clothes have a limited life span, his vest is a priority. So I’m trying to buckle down on it. I mean, how hard can it be?!

With regards to reading, Life of Pi‘s short chapters suit me very much at the moment, as that’s all I’m managing these days! That shawl had me very well occupied..

I love the lacy edging! No wonder it took forever and a day. I also love the striped colors. I bet while you read this comment you are wearing it right now, or are going to!

  2. Beautiful lace! I’m currently working on a lacy shawl, so can truly appreciate the labor of love anything knit in lace can be. Love the vest colorway…

Oooh, I love your shawl already; you had me at Downton Abbey! ;) I’m a new follower from the Yarn Along and just love your blog. I’m an avid crocheter but have been trying to learn how to knit for some time now. I get a little better each time I try, but I’m still nowhere NEAR being able to make anything worth talking about, let along a shawl as gorgeous as yours! I’ll be sure to hop over and check out the giveaway on your Facebook page, as well! That lovely hand stitched “Joy” definitely caught my attention in your sidebar. ;)

Gorgeous shawl. I do so love Kirsten’s designs. I made Ziggity last year with similar colors and love it to bits. Good luck with the vest.
