In the Making

This weekend, quite a few projects got completed. One was a big spring clean – quite a challenge, when your helpful toddler’s idea of tidying up a bookcase is to cram as many hats, coats and teddy bears into it as possible!
Nevertheless, clean windows and a tidy bookcase (eventually) brought a whole new wave of spring energy into our home.
First: the new hat for Kaya. I used Lana Grossa Soja, which is just the softest fingering weight yarn; I suspect because of the soy fibre in it! Love it! I used it for the homecoming hats and thought it was great, so my mum send me some more from Germany. Now, matching his raincoat, here is one new hat, just in time for the cooler spring weather here:

…And while I was at it, I made another one for Kaya’s friend who will celebrate his 3rd birthday next week! Some more homecoming hats are in the works now for the shop – a bit more girly ones this time!

Also in the making these days, a custom order for a bunch of happy birdies…

And: getting ready for Easter. It’s only one week away!!! Somehow time ran away with me. So now we need to make some plans for Easter-y activities, to be shared here this week, surely. To start with, I’ll be back here later with a spring sale in the Stitch & Purl Etsy shop, how exciting!
