Coming home

The highlight of our car trip from Germany back to England was the ferry from France.

It was all that Kaya looked forward to, and since we’d used it as an incentive (he didn’t really want to leave. In some ways, neither did I), we had “I want to go on the ferry boat!” demands for several hours before we actually got there.

In the end, we arrived with perfect timing and spent one and a half hours crossing the channel.
Kaya did not walk or run a single step on the ferry – he just skipped.

We take much shorter ferry rides quite often, but it never loses it’s appeal for our entire family! 🙂

We love the ferry, too. Although we haven’t been on that one.

Kaya is such a sweetheart. Looking so handsome in his sweater. 🙂

I would like to ride a ferry – haven’t done so in years. Are those the famous Dover cliffs?
