We are blessed with wonderful weather here. After the rainiest June in England since records began, this July in Germany is making it feel like we finally have a bit of summer.
Arriving takes time. For a few days I always feel neither here nor there.
Still, we are getting there. Taking the days a bit easier. Going a bit slower. Resting a bit more when I can.
These days are full of ice cream, muddy hands (the ones above belong to my nephew. Kaya’s looked very similar), faces smeared with both ice cream and mud.
Sun cream, t-shirts, shorts, splinters pulled out of bare toes on a daily basis.
We are enjoying all that we missed.
Seeing my family. A lot. German bread. Playing with the cousins. Not knowing what needs to be done tomorrow. Playgrounds with lots of sand.
Knitting, too, but today was the first day I took the camera out of the suitcase.
You see, we are arriving, slowly.
Happy July, everyone.
