Weekending

On Friday, parents were invited to kindergarten for a Michaelmas celebration.
We had a wonderful morning full of garden work, chatting, lavender bag making, playing, songs and stories – and a proud Mama watching this little guy play one of the knights slaying the dragon!
It was quite special to get a peek at a kindergarten day – and it did make me wish I had the energy of a three-year-old!

We spent Saturday with Kaya’s godfather at the farm where he works, helping with milking the cows, feeding the chickens and hunting for eggs, jumping in the hay (I passed on that one, obviously), visiting the pigs…

After these busy days, I am happy for a quiet day at home. We had waffles for lunch; and the dough for a Michaelmas dragon bread is rising in the kitchen, waiting for us to finish rest time and get back to baking.

Happy Weekending..
