Weekending

We had my father visiting from Germany, to meet his new grandchild and for my birthday on Friday. We had friends popping in for coffee and abandoned a walk on the commons for the freezing wind that none of us were truly prepared for, except the baby in his wintersuit and snuggled up in the sling.

Today, all by ourselves again, I was hoping for a rainy Sunday. It’s been looking good.
I am ignoring the hoovering and window cleaning.
The Mr is at work, Kaya is creating utter chaos in his room and building an army of duplo lamps because it’s getting dark so early. The baby is hiccupping. There is cooked pumpkin waiting to be turned into pie.
But for now, it’ll be leftover chocolate cake and warm tea and woolly socks and baby cuddles.

I can’t remember where I read it but “dust bunnies will always be there but babies grow up”. Sp don’t worry about windows or hoovering and enjoy those little toes πŸ˜‰

Oh those slippered feet!! I’m glad you had a nice visit with your dad and now you can sit and just be. Duplo lights sound intriguing! My son loved those and legos.

I absolutely love those mis-matched booties. We’re expecting both of our families to come into town next weekend, so we’ve just been relaxing with our little love (and watching the dust bunnies grow).

  5. Happy birthday! Cute toes indeed!
