I made a start on the clearing out this weekend.
Last time we moved (make that the two last times) our office space was always the last to be de-cluttered, the least organised. Too much intimidating paperwork. Too many things that are impossible to let go of: books, yarn, fabric..
So this time, I thought I’d be brave and begin here.
But as with so many things, it has to get worse before it gets better. And this is a tiny room we’re talking about. So when you have taken things off the shelves, you can’t move.
It is still utter chaos, but at least we’re already two bags lighter.
Kaya busied himself cutting up old papers into tiny pieces and let it snow onto the corridor downstairs.
(That was the only snow we got, but there’s an icy wind out there!)
So now, office door firmly shut so I don’t get sucked in again, hot water bottle in my back, sleeping baby in my arm, I am waiting for the husband to pick up some Indian for dinner.
No doubt, there’ll be more of this next week.
