We had the best Easter. Sunday was beautiful, cold and sunny. In the afternoon, friends came over. There was an egg hunt for all the little people, coffee for the grown ups, too much food. It felt a bit of a good-bye as well; a last gathering, making the most of the garden – who knows were we will be next time round?

Today still felt like weekend. A day that quietly rippled along, without too much happening, not feeling like I should be doing anything. We stayed home and ate leftovers. And Kaya found a new favourite spot for drawing (although I wish he would wear a coat in there, the conservatory is like a giant fridge these days).

What kind of cookies are the butterfly ones on top? They look delicious!

    • I just posted a link to the recipe in today’s post. We almost finished the second batch – they are very yummy! We stuck the sugar confetti on with a bit of icing, no surprise they were the kids’ favourites!

Thanks for posting that recipe so promptly. I thought it might be a German recipe. Since I’ve been living in Germany for the past 3 years I have noticed that around the holidays Germans love to make “Plรคtzchen” Btw, I really enjoy your blog ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Plaetzchen are good any day really ๐Ÿ™‚ But I think you are right. My grandma even used to bake a “Platz” for special occasions, a giant biscuit!! ๐Ÿ™‚
