Less is More

So these days there is the KCWC for sewing inspiration, but there is also the Great British Sewing Bee.
I found it strangely uplifting for a TV show!
Among others, the contestants are set alteration challenges where they have to change up High Street items of clothing.
It definitely inspired me to grab something I’m not really wearing. And then grab a pair of scissors.

I cut off the frilly hem, and then a bit more, and turned the offcuts into pockets.
How I love pockets.

IMG_3591This project didn’t really help with the downsizing and clearing out – the skirt almost went to the charity shop, now it’s back in the closet.

But hey, there’s less of it now, so it’ll take up less space, right?
That should still count as downsizing.

Ooooh! Well done, you! It looks great!

I really want to get back into sewing (my machine is suffering from severe neglect). Is the BBC sewing show good? I want to watch it, but I don’t know when it’s on (can you tell I rarely watch telly? Hee hee!)

  3. I think it’s great! much more modern… I love it!
