Today was the Race for Life – my first time to take part in such an event. It was a great buzz, but also quite emotional. Reading all the names on people’s shirts, remembering our losses.
I managed to run the 5km without stopping and in just over 28 minutes, I was really happy with that. The supporters on the sidelines cheering us on made such a difference! Definitely something I will remember.
The rest of Sunday was much like Saturday, a good, quiet lazy weekend. I was so pleased my eye infection cleared up just in time; how I appreciate being able to see (well, with glasses on of course), without all the burning, itching and watering!
