imageToday was the Race for Life – my first time to take part in such an event. It was a great buzz, but also quite emotional. Reading all the names on people’s shirts, remembering our losses.
I managed to run the 5km without stopping and in just over 28 minutes, I was really happy with that. The supporters on the sidelines cheering us on made such a difference! Definitely something I will remember.

The rest of Sunday was much like Saturday, a good, quiet lazy weekend. I was so pleased my eye infection cleared up just in time; how I appreciate being able to see (well, with glasses on of course), without all the burning, itching and watering!
Good days.

Thanks for doing this. 5 years ago a friend and I did a 3day breast cancer walk. 20 miles a day for 3 days. It was tough, but not as tough as the 2 years she spent later battling breast cancer. I remember carrying a big hanky, because I have lots of tears, and seeing the women with no hair with BIG notes that said THANK YOU!!
