October leaves

The fireworks of colours on the trees never fails to lift my heart.
Over the weekend we had a few wonderfully sunny hours among the trees, walking, collecting leaves, acorns, pine cones, and more leaves.

This week began with just the other half of autumn: grey skies, rain, a gigantic puddle outside our front gate. After negotiating a wet morning of errands, we had an afternoon of wellie boots and waterproofs.
Oh the joys of mud and puddles, the colours and of autumn.

I think it was Shakespere who called Autumn a season of mists and mellow fruitfulness – lovely!

I love your beautiful photos. I also like the colors of autumn, Annie

I’m not sure I know anyone who does not love fall. Looks like yours is beautiful. We’ve been having our own version here in Houston. Sunny and 70 degrees (21C) everyday. And plenty of rain to keep things green and gorgeous…and to keep the mushrooms growing everywhere.
