So we are back and going about the serious business of reacquainting ourselves with our home.
We had a lovely time away, and apart from the husband being confused with some wanted criminal by the same name at passport control, and someone’s bucket of yogurt spilling all over our suitcases in transit, the journeys all went well.
So yesterday we were lazy.
(“What is lazy?” Kaya asks. – “When you don’t do anything.” – “But we never not do anything”). Well, true.
We didn’t leave the house but we weren’t lazy.
We unpacked, sorted out clothes, re-arranged the baby’s drawer, did some cleaning, did some laundry, had some hot cocoa, spilled some hot cocoa and did more laundry.
In Turkey, my in-laws’ house (and probably everybody else’s too) is wonderfully uncluttered. I usually don’t mind our little windows and cottage feel, but after such a trip I’m always in the mood to clear out. Turkey does that to me.
I am glad we had a weekend as a buffer between arriving back home, and Monday tomorrow.
It always takes time to adjust – especially if its so warm and sunny in one place, and so rather wintry in the other.
I wouldn’t mind a few more days of weekend, but don’t we all…
p.s. I extended the giveaway until Friday, please do pop over and good luck!
