Yarn Along

IMG_0142I went away last week without any knitting in my bag! Well, I knew I wouldn’t be able to get much done, and it wasn’t too bad in the end – but I need to compensate and catch up now.
I didn’t get to read much either, so I thought I’d include my book waiting list today!

The other night I cast on 411 stitches for this shawl. I’d been putting it off, and it did feel like a big achievement (the trick was to count out loud, and put stitch markers every 50 stitches). But now I have to knit these stitches into a lace pattern, and I don’t have so much confidence in my powers of concentration these days.
So for a little safe alternative, I cast on for some chunky arm warmers for the shop. Round and round I can do.

p.s. I also wanted to remind you that my birthday giveaway is still open until Friday, and the coupon code you can find in the same post will be valid until the end of the month.

Oh, I can’t wait to see the progress on the shawl! It looks like an awesome pattern. Sheez, I can’t cast on 80 stitches without having to recount a million times . . . I blame my three year old. 😉
