A bit of sunshine

IMG_0023We’ve been spending so much time indoors with all this wet and cold. Yesterday we got a bit of cabin fever, and ended up moving our fridge-freezer around in the kitchen, swapping places with a little cupboard we had standing next to it. Now the fridge doesn’t cover a third of the window anymore, and we feel like we got a whole new kitchen.
And today, we even had some sun shining in through the windows!
We were blessed with blue skies and mild weather. We even heard some birds sing. I unzipped my coat for the first time in ages, and didn’t try to convince the baby to keep his woolly hat on for once.
After dropping off some parcels we stopped at the playground (dry!), and picked flowers in the park.
What a difference a few rays of sunshine make.

We woke up to a snow storm this morning that gave us several inches. Now at 4pm, the sun is shining and the sky is bright blue – what a beautiful day in many forms.

  2. Lovely spring flowers….a sign of winters end approaching 🙂

We have been getting sun, but bitter cold as well. This passed week-end was absolutely amazing, but we are back to -27’C with the wind chill today. But the days aar growing longer and that can only mean one thing : SPRING!!!!

Lovely flowers! I am waiting for spring here in Edmonton, too. It will be a while yet, though. 😉
