Yarn Along

P1020304

This week, unusually, I feel like I’ve been reading more than knitting! It might have something to do with the fact that knitting with lace yarn, even if you do knit a few rows, you can’t really see a difference. Umph. I’m sure in a couple of inches it’ll really take off and I’ll finish this jumper before the summer is out..
(I have some yarn on standby to knit a cardigan for my littlest guy, from this book (again), in case I need a break.)

I am still reading The Distant Hours, and while I’m taking my time with this book, I already feel I am going to miss the characters when I finish it.

Also I wanted to show you my own finished cardigan, but the buttons only just arrived today. Since my favourite button lady abandoned both her weekly market stall and me, I had to revert to other options of button acquisition.
In a few days (when I am told the weather will be more cardigan friendly as well..) I shall share pictures.

And lastly, vaguely knitting-related, there is still a big sale on in my Etsy shop: 50% off with the coupon code SUMMERSALE50. Please do take a look if you’d like to grab a bargain. Thank you! :)

My next project is in lace weight and I’m afraid it will take the rest of the summer to complete! You are smart to have a cardigan just in case🙂

  3. I totally hear you on the laceweight yarn. It seems like your project is in a black hole then, poof!, it starts to show progress.

I agree. A beautiful photo, indeed. I feel the same about lace weight yarn… it’s wait and see knitting for sure.

  5. Beautiful yarn! I’ll definitely have to check out the sale!🙂

I so agree with you about missing those characters. Each book that I’ve read of hers makes me sad when I finish!
