With more family celebrations, this weekend was full of food, treats for the children (and grown-ups), and more food. (I had to make my Black Forest Trifle twice, because it was gone so fast. And that was after “But you know I don’t like trifle…!”)

On Friday, we packed up our supper, and went out for a picnic. We took a wrong turn somewhere and came upon this lovely splash of colour above – well worth the detour.

The boys are all about their bicycles these days, so we’ve had our obligatory trips around the town and countryside at every opportunity. The weather was beautiful all this past week, and it didn’t stop for the weekend, luckily.
I hope it’ll carry on for a bit longer these last days of July.

Weekending with Karen.
Have a bright and happy start of your new week!

What a beautiful field, how lucky to find it. We drove through Tetbury on Saturday, on our way to and from Cirencester, have you done the hares trail? It sounds like you had a lovely weekend, and you’ve reminded me to get our bikes out, I know mine would enjoy a bike ride. Have a good week, CJ xx
